Meet Your Brilliant Self

Remember, you have two voices inside of you.

One voice belongs to your Fearful self, which is also known as your wounded child or  the inner bully. This is the self inside of you that does not want you to be happy, who tells you, you are not good enough, you are not smart enough. You also have the voice of your Brilliant self, which is also known as your full Potential Self, the highest version of you, who loves you and knows what is best for you. This Higher Self is here to guide you in pursuing your dreams. It depends on you and which voice you choose to listen too.  Today, take a moment and Meet your Brilliant Self.

The Truth Behind the “I Can’t Afford to Hire a Coach.”

Life or business coaches assist people to constructively deal with changes in their personal and/or professional lives. Life coaches empower people to reach a greater level of personal or professional success. What’s very evident is that the business of life coaching is booming. - FORBES MAGAZINE

What was stigma (“You’re so broken you need a coach?”) has become a status symbol (“You’re so valuable you get a coach?”).

People like Tiger Woods and Michael Phelps have coaches. Even President Barack Obama has a coach. Microsoft ‘s young high-potential leaders get coaches. If elite athletes and organizations think they need coaches, shouldn’t you have one too? Shouldn’t we all?

The question remains, do you have a coach?

If not, you could be limiting your career or relationships success. That’s because coaches empower you to identify your blocks, shift mindset and focus on what’s important, which accelerates your success.

Coaching is a booming industry, yet a lot of people do not understand what a life or business coach really is or does. Successful athletes obviously understand the power of coaching.

The United Kingdom Coaching Strategy describes the role of the sports coach as one that “enables the athlete to achieve levels of performance to a degree that may not have been possible if left to his/her own endeavours.” - Time Magazine

Do you have fear wrapped around hiring your own coach?

One of the main objectives many coaches hear is “I can’t afford to hire a coach."

The "I CAN"T AFFORD IT" is a thought pattern based in a lack mentality. There are not many things that will improve and positively change your life as quickly and as certainly as will coaching.

The truth around the "I CAN'T AFFORD IT" mentality is based on three common, recurring Limited Beliefs that cause some people to resist coaching. They are:

Limited belief #1       Unwilling to face change

Some people fear being coached because they know it is going to bring up areas in their lives where they need to make changes. Whether that coaching is personal or professional, the goal of coaching is a happy and successful life, and that means you have to be willing to change your beliefs and change your actions in some area of your life.

If you don’t believe that change is necessary, you won’t believe you need coaching. This is a limited belief and this belief is what will keep you living a small life. The very best performers in every human endeavor work with coaches not because they think they are broken but because their core belief is that, if they change something, they can live the life they have envisioned at an even higher level.

Limited Belief #2           Afraid that hiring a coach means you aren’t capable

Coaching doesn’t mean that you aren’t a good, capable person. It doesn’t mean that you don’t have the ability or the resources to achieve your performance goals. Coaching isn’t an indictment of you personally (although there are some executives who are recommended coaching because their people skills are lacking).

Coaching is an indication that you are capable. It’s evidence that someone (maybe you) believes that with some insight and ideas from a professional coach, you can perform better. No one invests in coaching when they believe that they are hopeless. And no company invests in coaching for their people who they believe those people aren’t capable of turning in their best performance.

Limited Belief #3   You are afraid of being held accountable

This one is a biggie. It’s the deep-seated issue that prevents a lot of people from embracing coaching.

Some people don’t want to be held accountable for changing. They want to avoid being asked about their life. They don’t like anyone shining a light on the difference between what they say and what they do. More than anything, they don’t want to have to answer to someone; they’d rather hide from their problems, their challenges.

Only the people who succeed in life are the ones who embrace accountability. They fearlessly look at the gaps in their actions and behaviours so they can close those gaps. They look at a coach as an accountability partner. They expect their coach to ask them the tough questions, and they anticipate their coach asking them tough questions to help them expand what they believe is possible, what they are capable of.

The truth is, everyone wants to be happy. Why be in resistance to your own happiness?

It is time to REFRAME your Beliefs about hiring a coach.

Expanded Belief #1   Change Your Money Mindset

When you want to manifest money to pay for things that are of value to you, it’s important to know that it’s already there. The "I can't afford it" belief is based on a fear of "I am afraid of change."

Know that the cash and the opportunities are right in front of you. You just have to adjust your vision to see them. You do this by shifting your vibe — your frequencies of thought and emotion — to one that’s open to receiving money.

If you shift your thoughts and emotions to those of excitement, delight and curiosity of how this money will come into your life, the way you approach money changes and you open up to all the possibilities available to you. Recognize that money is already all around you, there is no lack of it, it’s just about getting into alignment with the stream coming your way.

Expanded Belief #2   Choose To Invest In Yourself

Make investing in yourself a priority. Why?  Investing in yourself may be the most profitable investment you ever make.

The surest way to achieve a better quality life, to be successful, productive, and satisfied is to place a priority on investing in both personal and professional growth. The effort you put into consistently investing in yourself plays a large role in determining the quality of your life now and in the future.

Expanded Belief #3  Make A Commitment to Hiring a Life Coach

Making a commitment to say YES to having your own coach is like saying I AM WORTHY of having a Beautiful Life.  Making this commitment in investing in yourself  builds self-love, trust and self-worth. You send out a powerful message to everyone that you are important. And that simple act creates a ripple effect across your entire life, that is beyond your imagination.

I have seen time and time again, how my clients’ lives have profoundly transformed simply because they took a chance on themselves and made a commitment to create a better life for themselves. Investing in coaching gives them the structure and the guidelines to keep that promise to themselves, and allows them to reach out beyond their current reality into a world that activates their brilliance.

Expanded Belief # 4  Believe You Are Worth It

What sets you apart from the people whom you see that are living their dreams is simply one thing. They believe that they are worth having the life that they want. And because of that belief they are willing to invest and work towards it.

When you love yourself at a cellular level, and recognise that you are an insurmountable well of unique potential, that you are already who you want to be, deep down, then you recognise that you are worth giving yourself whatever it is that you need to grow and embody your true being.

Believing in your own worth means that you have a positive mental attitude towards your needs and know how to find ways to support yourself. Because you’re worth it!
